1. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the quoted work, or at the end of each calendar month for regular maintenance clients.
Payment must be made via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
All payments must be made in full and on time.
Late payments beyond 14 days may result in services being paused until the account is brought up to date. The Lawn Guy reserves the right to apply reasonable late payment fees where required.
2. Validity of Quotation
All quotations, including any schedule of works, are valid for 60 days from the date of issue.
After this period, The Lawn Guy may revise or withdraw the quotation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Once accepted, the quoted price will remain fixed unless:
Delays are caused by the client
Access is restricted
Additional work is required due to unforeseen obstacles (e.g., hidden debris, extreme lawn conditions)
3. Deposits
A deposit may be required to secure bookings for renovation works or specialist treatments.
This will be clearly stated and deducted from the final invoice.
Deposits are non-refundable if the client cancels within 7 days of the scheduled work or after materials have been purchased specifically for the job.
4. Cancellations
For regular maintenance visits, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Failure to do so may result in the full service fee being charged.
For renovation work or one-off services, a minimum of 7 days’ notice is required.
Short-notice cancellations may incur charges, especially where products or machinery have already been scheduled or purchased.
5. Access to Property
Clients must ensure that clear and safe access to all lawn areas is available at the time of the visit.
If access is not possible (e.g., locked gates, unsafe obstructions, loose dogs), The Lawn Guy reserves the right to charge the full service fee.
6. Pet Waste / Dog Mess
Clients are required to ensure all dog mess and pet waste is fully cleared from the lawn prior to our arrival.
If pet waste is not removed and it prevents us from carrying out work safely, hygienically, or to an acceptable standard, we may cancel the visit and the full service fee will still be charged to cover the allocated time and travel.
This is essential for health, safety, equipment care, and the quality of our service.
7. Weather Conditions
Lawn care is heavily dependent on weather.
Work may need to be postponed if conditions are unsafe, unsuitable, or if treatments cannot be applied effectively.
The Lawn Guy reserves the right to reschedule booked work due to:
Waterlogged or frozen lawns
Extreme heat
Heavy rain
Unsafe working conditions
Where possible, clients will be notified in advance.
8. Waste Removal
Green waste is either:
Mulched into the lawn via mowing,
Collected and left on site, or
Removed by arrangement (charges may apply).
This will be discussed and agreed before work begins.
9. Liability & Property Conditions
The Lawn Guy is not responsible for damage caused by:
Hidden objects (stones, toys, hosepipes, irrigation heads, etc.)
Pest activity
Poor lawn health caused by factors outside our control
Clients must notify us of any underground cables, sprinklers, or vulnerable fixtures.
We take all reasonable care but will not be liable for accidental damage when such information has not been provided.
10. Treatments, Chemicals & Safety
After treatments, clients must keep pets and children off the lawn for the advised period.
This is normally 2–3 hours or until dry, but may vary depending on the product used.
All professional products are applied in accordance with industry standards and legal requirements.
11. Complaints & Service Quality
Any concerns or issues must be raised within 48 hours of the service.
We will always aim to resolve matters fairly and promptly.
Due to the natural environment and external factors, The Lawn Guy cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as:
Weed regrowth
Moss return
Lawn colour/appearance affected by weather or watering
Results impacted by lack of irrigation or mowing frequency
We guarantee professional workmanship but cannot guarantee nature.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service, accepting a quotation, or allowing work to proceed, the client accepts these Terms & Conditions in full.
